HEALTH EFFECTS
No adverse health effects expected if the product is handled in
accordance with this Safety Data Sheet and the product label,
if applicable. Symptoms that may arise if the product is mishandled
are:
ACUTE EFFECTS-
SWALLOWED: May cause severe damage to the digestive tract. May
be harmful if swallowed. Causes gastrointestinal burns.
EYE: Causes eye burns.
SKIN: Causes skin burns.
INHALED: Vapour or mist may cause severe irritation to mucous
membranes and respiratory tract. Symptoms include sore throat,
coughing, shortness of breath and delayed lung edema.
CHRONIC EFFECTS

FIRST AID
SWALLOWED: If swallowed, rinse mouth with water, give water to
drink. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Seek immediate medical assistance.
EYE: Immediately irrigate with copious quantities of water for
at least 15 minutes. Eyelids to be held open. Seek medical assistance.
SKIN: Wash contaminated skin with plenty of soap and water. Remove
contaminated clothing and wash before re-use. If irritation persists
seek medical advice.
INHALED: Remove victim from exposure - avoid becoming a casualty.
Remove contaminated clothing and loosen remaining clothing. Allow
patient to assume most comfortable position and keep warm. Keep
at rest until fully recovered. If breathing laboured and patient
cyanotic (blue) ensure airways are clear and have qualified person
give oxygen through a facemask. If breathing has stopped apply
artificial respiration at once. In event of cardiac arrest, apply
external cardiac massage. Seek medical assistance.
