Class no.of Ethyl cellulose (EC) : Nill
UN no. of Ethyl cellulose (EC) : Nill
HS code of Ethyl cellulose (EC) : 39123990
Specific Gravity of Ethyl cellulose (EC) : 1.07-1.18
Ethyl cellulose (EC) is a kind of white grains or powder, having
no smell or tastes. Its 5% soliquoid shows neutral to litmus test
paper. Its specific density 1.07~1.18, heat distortion point:
135~155degree centigrade, and fire point: 330~360 degree centigrade.
Ethyl Cellulose has good stability against light, heat, oxygen
and wetness, and is stable to chemicals. It is resistant to alkali,
dilute acid and salting liquid, soluble in some organic solvents,
such as alcohol, ether, ketone, ester, aromatic hydrocarbon and
halohydrocarbon, etc, and compatible with many celluloses, resin
and nearly all plasticizers. Ethyl Cellulose has low combustibility,
small hydroscopicity and good electric behavior. Its thin film
and plastics have good mechanical strength and flexibility in
a wide range of temperature.

| Application
of Ethyl cellulose (EC) |
|
Ethyl cellulose (EC) is soluble in water, ethyl cellulose is mainly
used as tablet adhesive and thin film coating material, etc. It
is also used as retarding agent for aggregate to make various
types of aggregate slow-release pills; as slow-release agent or
slow-release pills for compound material when making coat; as
microcapsule material to make the medical effect release continuously,
and avoid the preaction of water soluble medicine. It can be too
used in any type of medicine as dispersing agent, stabilizer and
water retention agent to prevent medicine from absorption and
deterioration, enhance the safe storage and stability of pills.
It can even be used as adhesive, slow-release agent and moisture-repellant
agent for vitamine pills and mineral pills.
Instruction for usage
While padding, add Ethyl Cellulose slowly into the container with
solvent until it is fully wetted and dissolved.
